Glint is being pushed forward more and more in
the frontline of the story. What does it mean and what role will Glint play?
What does Glint’s impact on the story mean for Mordremoth, Scarlet, the
Soundless and the Sylvari in general? Could Glint and her legacy mean the
return of the seers? Could Zinn, the Asuran Genius known for his advanced
golemmancering (M.O.X.) play a part as one of his known labs is situated to the
east of Dry Top?
What follows
tries to adress all these questions. FULL CREDITS go to ranique, who’s
the author of the article below.

Disclaimer:
This theory is based on assumptions that certain details matter and others
don't. I can be wrong as a Moa-herder on Wintersday.
With all
the connections being made between Glint, Mordremoth and the brotherhood of the
dragon (now known as Zephyrites), I think we are still missing some elements.
One is Zinn.
Zinn was an
Asuran Genius, atleast as wise as Oola and Gadd. He is most known for his
advanced golemmancering (M.O.X.) but it is known that he has some other fields
of knowledge as well. He was added to GW1 rather late (more then a year after
the release of Eye of the North). He played again an important role in helping
Queen Salma on the throne and defeating the White mantle. This story (War in
Kryta) was made to bridge the gap between GW1 and GW2. Two things always made
me curious bout Zinn's role in the war. The story is interesting, he is a good
help, but it doesn't really make sense why he was needed. Second, an important
unanswered question is why he was experimenting on a Seer (dead or aliveis
unknown).
Zinn had
two known labs in GW1. The first, where he experimented on the seer, was in
Divinity coast. Judging to the current location of Shaemoor and looking how in
both maps the river bends around the town, I would say near Dalin's pumping
station.
The second
is to the east of dry top in the area known as the falls. This was his main lab
and it is possible he returned there. This could possible be the direction
where the master of peace is heading.
Glint and
the Seers.
Now what
does this has to do with the Zephyrites? The Zephyrites are followers of Glint.
One thing that always striked me is that she was cured by the forgotten and
protected by the dwarves. The three other ancient races play so far little role
in her importance. But she does write a prophecythat is a bit odd in my
opinion. I understand that she wanted the Vizier to be stopped, but she did in
a very strange way. She made sure she helped him first. It was the Vizier that
pointed us on the path of ascension, and Glint helped with that, knowing the
prophecy and knowing who the Vizier really was and what his goal was. I think her
reason was, cause she wanted to deal a significant blow to the Mursaat, the
fallen race and the sworn enemy of the Seers. I think that Glint was friends
with the Seers too (and possible also the Jotun, before they went on decay). As
far as we know, all Seers are gone, but it is possible that Zinn's research has
found things.
I think
knowledge he shared with Glint.
Leylines
and bloodstones. Watching the Leyline that woke up Mordremoth, it went under
the Thaumanova Reactor (in the season 1 final scenematic) and now we find out
it also went under the town of prosperity. If you draw a line between the two
and continue in the north-eastern location you end up at the last known
location of a bloodstone (It is a piece of the the original bloodstone that got
crafted by the Seers). Leylines are described as udnerground rivers of magic.
bloodstones are basicly magic battery's. They drain all magic. What if the
Zephyrites found out that the maguuma Bloodstone has been draining the magic
from a Leyline?
The Pale
tree and the soundless.
If you look
at scarlets drawing, the pale tree is the center of Tyria. Destiny'S Orphans
said a lil bit too easy that it is typical Sylvan to draw it that way. I don't
believe that and I don't believe that Scarlet, with her love/hate for the Pale
tree would do that.
I think she
is drawn that way cause the roots of the pale tree also are in a junction of
leylines just as the junction under Lion's Arch (but Scarlet knew she couldn't
drill there, she is simular to the soundless, so she is still in a way
connected to the dream, destroying the dreamwould destroying herself). To
continue bout this Leyline. If you draw that line further in the other
direction, it passes under the pale tree.
What is
Scarlet and what are soundless.
Both are
more or less the same, although they used different methods. They have severed
themself from the dream. This makes it harder for the pale tree to contact them
and feel them. I believe, that through the dreams is the reason that Sylvari
can't be corrupted. This is the same for regular sylvari and the nightmare
court (they are still connected to the dream, just the evil part of the dream).
By removing themself from the dream as Scarlet did and as the soundless do,
they are notimune anymore for dragon corruption. This is what happened first
with Scarlet and now with atleast one soundless.
Mordremoth.
We know
mordremoth woke up under the same leyline. I believe that the reason he wasn't
awake yet, was cause he was under a bloodstone. That was draining all magic
before it could reach the dragon, and slowing his wake up process. The pulse
that Scarlet gave into the leyline netowrk caused an overload that instant woke
him up. In his dormend state he was able to corrupt Scarlet cause she entered
Omadds device, but now he is awake he can corrupt also soundless sylvari. He
has an inmense amount of magical energy, but it is stored inside this
bloodstone, and the purpose of the bloodstone is to make sure that dragons
can't consume it. He corrupted Aerin and found out that some of the knowledge
of the Seers wasn't lost. Including the knowledge how to extract the magic
stored in a bloodstone.
Now the
Master of Peace knows that Aerin is after this knowledge he is going to the
only other source of this knowledge. Zinn's lab in the falls.
